Periodically, the pressure in my kitchen faucet gets so low the water reduces to only a trickle. Happens with Hot or cold water. The sprayer however works fine. Problem usually occurs after the faucet has been running for a while (but I cannot always recreate it when I want to…it is sporatic). I have a single handle Moen faucet. I have removed Aerator. I have replaced the cartridge. The valves are fully open. No pressure problems anywhere else in the house. Any ideas?

sounds like your getting sand or dirt in your system, happens alot with old or new water systems, cause either way there always working on them or conecting new houses to the system, try removing the airator and leaving it off and use the faucet, if this solves the problem, of low flow. then it’s your airaitor, clogging and unclogging, if this is the case, you might leave it off and just use the screen, or remove a part or two from the airaitor, another cause could be the packings in your moen faucet are coming apart, this is unlikely, however if the faucet is bad moen faucets are life time guarnteed, return it to any store that carries moen, don’t even need a recipt. most likely thoses tiny holes in the airaitor are plugging.
