I have installed a brand new kitchen faucet about 3 months ago. It is a peerless and the hot a cold handles are separate from each other. My problem is the hot sides cartridge keeps blowing the bottom seal, the one that sits on the spring. I keep changing it but it only holds about a week. It causes a constant drip from the faucet. The only factor added to the equation was a dishwasher that was installed at the same time as the faucet. What would cause this seal to keep blowing?
Kingston Brass’ Chris Wynn demonstrates the step-by-step process in changing the stainless steel ball cartridge from single-handle ball kitchen faucet.
The hot/cold water control on my kitchen faucet is very sensitive. The water turns very hot even if I move the control by 1 or 2 degrees, compared to 10-20 degrees on my other faucet. All my other faucets work well, so i don’t think it’s an issue with the water heater control. I am thinking of changing cartridge . Please advice. It’s a standard faucet as shown in this link http://wetheadmedia.com/american-standard-kitchen-faucet-troubleshooting-repair-guide/
yes, cold water pressure is same as hot water.
