Hello,
I recently replaced an old wall-mounted kitchen faucet because the cartridge for the cold knob broke or popped out. I later learned that I can just replace the cartridge and didn’t need to replace the entire faucet BUT I guess it’s okay since my landlord is going to reimburse me anyway.
I’m new at this and never done it so please bear with me. Anyway, I installed the faucet and turned on the main water valve and hardly any water comes out of the faucet.
The faucet I purchased looks like the following: http://www.homedepot.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?storeId=10051&langId=-1&catalogId=10053&productId=100411281&N=10000003+90048+503377
Every other faucet in the house is running normal and I tried uninstalling the faucet and run the main water valve to see if the pipes are clogged, that wasn’t the case.
I don’t know what else to do, the new faucet instruction manual and the instructions from the back states that the installation of the faucet is as easy as 1-2-3, “No special tools required and no experience needed.”
What am I doing wrong?
Thanks in advance.

Three posibilities…
1) You insalled it wrong.
2) The faucet is defective.
3) Something in the faucet is blocking the flow.
When you turn the faucet handle, a ball joint rotates inside the fitting and lets water through. Very simple process. If this isn’t alligned properly, or the knob is not turning far enough, water flow could be impeded.
If the faucet was defective, at least one knob would probably work.
This makes me think you have something blocking the flow. Take the arestor of the end of the faucet and look for a cardboard or plastic piece that would have been there for packaging. Remove it if so.
Try removing the aerator on the end of the spout. This has small screens in it, so don’t lose them. If the water runs okay after removing it, hold a finger partially over the end and back flush it under running water.
I had a piece of plastic blocking the aerator once on a brand new faucet. spun it out and it was like a piece of clear plastic bag in there
